Ah, yes, the month of love! I’m always happy to see February come around. It means that spring is right around the corner and I get to spend the month celebrating my birthday. I try to do something nice for myself every day. Woot! This year there’s 29 days in the month.
Despite the busy-ness of jumping back into my fiction projects and promoting my recently released holistic health book, Overcome Your Sedentary Lifestyle (A Practical Guide to Improving Health, Fitness, and Well-being for Desk Dwellers and Couch Potatoes), I’ll also be hanging out with my writer pals at some upcoming events. Before I tell you about those, here’s a short description of the book. You can find out more about it on my OYSL page. There you’ll also find an excerpt and some tips to get you started on the road to a healthier you. If you’re looking for a road map…
Overcome Your Sedentary Lifestyle is the practical guide you need. Author and Holistic Health Care professional, PJ Sharon, (that’s me!) includes tips to keep you healthy—even if sitting is in your job description. Ms. Sharon offers easy to implement solutions for proper work station set-up, exercises for injury prevention and treatment, and a practical plan for self-care success—whether you’re perched on the couch, or on the way to fulfilling your dreams.

And last but not least, I had the proud distinction of being asked to speak at the New England Library Conference a few weeks ago. I met some awesome librarians. It seems the Library Journal Self-e contest judges, readers, and librarians liked the
There is something supremely sexy about a man whose wounds have only served to make him stronger and more compassionate.
Like the best of heroes, Jamie is the ultimate protector, “…you have my name, my clan, my family, and if necessary, the protection of my body as well.” Sighhhhh…! Jamie’s vow on their wedding night. I must have watched that episode twenty…or maybe thirty times just to hear that line. Well…mostly to hear that line.
After years of reading—and re-reading—Gabaldon’s books, Jamie’s strength of character is the model I use when devising my own heroes. Even though I write for young adults, I like to think my heroes all have Jamie’s indomitable spirit and the ability to stay true to themselves—in spite of their trials. The wounded Marine, Alex Cooper, from

You’ll want to visit the Noble & Cooley Drum Shop Museum. Built in 1854, this well preserved factory is still making drums for today’s musicians and is the site of the Center for Historic Preservation. The 1802 Meeting House will have a beautiful quilt display, vintage tractors and a scarecrow contest for kids of all ages to enjoy. I’ll be down the bottom of the hill next to the library signing books and giving away a few freebies. Here are the particulars:

On another happy note, PIECES of LOVE is a finalist in the 2015 Heart of Denver Romance Writer’s ASPEN GOLD contest. I’ll find out later this month if I won! If you haven’t read this one, it’s the perfect sweet summer romance. Here’s the short blurb but you can read more
