Hey Readers,
I hope you’re enjoying this lovely August weather and staying cool. I can’t believe summer is almost over already. I have to admit I’ve been slacking a bit. The weather has been too nice to ignore and the sunny days have been calling me away from my writing routine. Blueberry picking anyone?
Rest assured, I’m still working on book 2 in my SAVAGE CINDERELLA Novella Series, LOST BOYS, and hope to have it out before the end of the year. Watch for the cover reveal next month! If you haven’t jumped on board and read SAVAGE CINDERELLA or FINDING HOPE (Book 1 in the series), I hope you’ll check them out.
So here’s what I’ve really been up to this summer. June had me super busy with the release of FINDING HOPE, but I was able to make time for some R&R with a yoga retreat on the Cape with some of my yoga pals and a family camping trip in July. It’s been a long time since I’ve camped with little ones and I’d forgotten how much work it is! It wasn’t very restful with three kiddos in tow, but I managed to eek out some fun in the sun with my besties (aka. beasties, LOL).
Cultural highlights this summer included a play at the Williamstown Theater, aptly named ROMANCE NOVELS FOR DUMMIES with Justin Long. Yes…he is as adorable in real life as he is on TV and the play was awesome! I also attended a Blues Brother’s Band concert here in town and am prepping for CT Fiction Fest in early September. I love writer’s conferences and had to miss this year’s Nationals, so I’m really looking forward to connecting again with my writing community. In addition to chilling with my peeps, I’ll be presenting a workshop–To-do’s and Don’ts of Self-Publishing. I’ve learned so much during my five years as an Indie author, I’m looking forward to sharing some great tips with my fellow writers. If you’re looking for a great weekend writing conference, we still have openings! Visit http://www.ctrwa.org for registration details.
I can’t even begin to think about October’s crazy busy schedule! With the Granville Harvest Fair, the Boston Book Fair, and some local appearances, the fall is shaping up to be a whirlwind of writing-related activity. I’ll keep you posted about dates and upcoming releases.
For now, enjoy the rest of your summer and don’t let it get away from you too soon.
What have you been up to this summer?
Stay well and be blessed!
