Happy Holidays, Dear Readers!
I’m one of those people who LOVES this time of year. The Christmas carols, spending time with family and friends, the spirit of giving, and of course…the pie! I have so much to be grateful for, and I especially want to thank you, my readers, for taking time to read and review my books, share your thoughts through social media, and help spread the word about my stories. You guys are awesome!
This year in particular, I have lots on the book front to celebrate. HEALING WATERS, Book 3 in the Chronicles of Lily Carmichael Trilogy is now available for pre-order and is set to release December 23rd…just in time for Christmas! What a great gift for all those new Kindle e-readers under the tree. You canpreorder it now and it will show up on release day!
This is one action-packed read! And don’t forget, Book 1, WANING MOON is only .99 cents now and will be available for FREE from December 22-26th and Book 2, WESTERN DESERT is only $2.99. You can’t beat that for a fantastic Holiday deal.
As Lily’s abilities grow, can she fight her instinct to protect and heal the world, while taking down the madman bent on destroying it?
Also COMING just in time for Christmas, is The GIRLS of THOMPSON LAKE box set, which includes my award-winning Young Adult novels, HEAVEN is for HEROES, ON THIN ICE, and PIECES OF LOVE . These contemporary YA romances are filled with family drama, challenging teen issues, and sweet romances with hopefully ever after endings. With the heroines all connected through their hometown, you get a glimpse of their friendship in each book. Added as bonus content in this box set, and tying all the main characters into one heartwarming holiday novella, SAMI’S CHRISTMAS WISH LIST will have you rooting for our teen heroines and falling in love right along with them.
If you’ve already read the three books and enjoyed them, why not give them as a gift? You can get all three YA novels and the bonus Christmas novella for only $3.99. Another great excuse to load up those new e-readers. Watch for buy links next week!
And since I love spending time with friends during the holidays, I’m joining my buds at Addictive Reads for some Holiday fun. We wanted to show our appreciation for our readers, so we decided to play Santa, give out some gifts, and share a few of our favorite things this month.

On to a FEW of MY FAVORITE THINGS:
Favorite Christmas song: Mary, Did You Know? Check out this version by the Pentatonix. It will blow you away!
Favorite Holiday cookies: KletsKoppen, a Dutch cookie made with butter, brown sugar, and almonds…oh, and did I say butter? Seriously, the BEST! Leave your email address in the comments if you want the recipe.
Favorite Holiday movie: Duh! THE HOLIDAY with Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz, Jack Black, and Jude Law. Plus, too many classics to choose from. But these days, Hallmark has my holiday viewing totally wrapped up.
Favorite Line from a Holiday movie: “Every woman should be the heroine of her own life.” Kate Winslet in THE HOLIDAY.
Favorite Holiday tradition: When my kids were little, I hung an advent calendar on the wall, and every day, we would take turns doing something nice for someone. It was a lovely way to celebrate the reason for the season and taught them that the best gifts were from the heart.
Favorite Holiday craft project: Making wreaths! I love hiking through the woods on a crisp December day, collecting Princess Pine (which I clip rather than pulling out by the root), and then sitting down to make a beautiful wreath. It’s like decorating a mini tree! When I was a kid, we used to make dozens of them and sell them at my uncle’s nursery to earn money for Christmas presents. Ah, humble beginnings…
And last but not least, my Favorite Holiday drink (cuz what’s a Holiday without a little Holiday cheer?): Bailey’s Irish Cream and Eggnog-YUM!
From my house to yours, have a blessed Holiday season, and a happy, healthy New Year!
Peace,
PJ
Lovely list, PJ! My favorite song is also Mary Did You Know and especially the version by Pentatonix. Love, love, love them! They made my list too — more than once! LOL Merry Christmas to you and your family! 🙂
They are amazing! i love their version of Little Drummer Boy. make me weep every time!
Happy holidays to you, PJ! I’ve never seen the movie HOLIDAY, so now, with your recommendation, I’m going to watch it!
I can’t wait for Healing Waters! 🙂 Yay!! And you’re now the 4th AR author to mention Pentatonix. Listening to MDYK right now–love it.
And The Holiday is one of my absolute favorite movies, too. It was a surprise the first time I watched it, but I fell in love. Even my husband really liked it and usually he doesn’t like “chick flicks.” LOL
Hi Stacey, Yes, Pentatonix are the bomb! They have such amazing voices and the harmonies are out of this world. I know HEALING WATERS has been a long time coming, but hopefully, Lily’s final journey will be worth the wait. Thanks for reading!
I enjoyed reading your list, I am going to have to try the Baileys and eggnog, sounds delicious!
Happy Holidays
Thanks for stopping by, Jean. It’s definitely not a low cal drink, but it’s close enough to a dessert to be worth it!
Thanks Suzanne. It’s a wonderful movie. I know you’re going to love it:-) It’s one of those that I can watch again and again.
Very cool, PJ! I especially love your favorite tradition–great way for kids to learn what it’s all about.
More time to read as the days are shorter.
